hearts. Dad traded a 40 merc coupe for the pick up. The truck was
chopped,
sectioned, and shortened by George Barris.

Drag raced the car every chance he got. Went to his house when
I was a kid
with my dad, In the 70's and Bruno was still racing then.
Pic 7; This one my dad built from parts. The car started as a rag
top
coupe, The old man seen the 30 body sitting in a lot, The owner
wanted $10.00
for it my old man couldn't come up with the cash so he traded him
a used
muffler and a 6 volt radio. He installed the v8 flatty, This was
in 1949 he
said the v8's were hard to come by. The engine was a 85hp. He swapped
some
stuff for it from a wrecking yard.

door handles, installed old chevy solenoids with push buttons.
