From David Stands:

35 Ford Roadster running 53 Merc Flatmotor, 2" chop and a custom lift off top, 49 Ford dash is Dad's.  Son runs a 35 Ford Phantom Vicky, 350 small block, 2" chop and filled roof....... Hope you add to the photos online.

From Edward in Germany:

Hello Mart,
I've been intending to write for awhile now. I found your pictures of your
'32 project some weeks ago and found them very informative. Last week I
visited Günter in Graz in Austria and we talked about your rod which
reminded me to write. My name is Ed and I live in Bavaria although I am
English. Recently I found a 1929 Ford in a barn about two miles from here
and after a year of persuasion managed to get the owner to part with it. It
has an interesting history as it was converted into a fenderless tractor in
1940, with a hand stamped brass chassis plate to prove it. It had no rear
suspension and had a second gearbox mounted behind the original to produce a
lower ratio. I've enclosed some pictures. The car is now stripped to a bare
frame. Unfortunately the entire body from the doors back is missing but the
cowl and tank are very solid and the frame is so good it doesn't even have
any pitting. All the nuts and bolts came apart really easily, many could
even be undone with my fingers. Ford used only the best materials!
Since then I've found a Hotrod and flathead specialist who has literally
everything you could think of in his various barns and garages in east
Germany. To see him and his mates cars visit www.hotheadseast.com. From Mike
I got a dropped '34 axle, Truck pumps, headers and a dynamo. He has tons of
Flathead NOS parts all ex-NATO. From Günter in Austria I got a '56 Flathead,
so I'm slowly gathering my parts together. I'm still on the look out for Pop
front shocks, if you know where I can pick up a pair cheap.
Here are my pictures. I would appreciate any tips if you can think of
anything. This is my first rod, and indeed my first total restoration, so I
expect it to take several years.

Regards Ed

From Geof Harris:

Hi Mart, here's a couple of photos - hope they're OK for your website.  The black '32 was owned/built by me and now being enjoyed by Kev Gilbert from Swindon, the pickup was found in a barn after 30 years!  Belongs to Ray Weaver from Oregon.  Will send some photos of my new '32 roadster project ASAP.  Great site mate.

From Johan Dohrmann:

From John Moore:

Mart,
The roadster you may recognize, it is the same one you had on your cover about a year and a half ago on our trip home from Las Vegas in a snow storm after the Goodguys nostalgia drag races.

From Mike Brimm:

Hey Mart, love the site. Here are a couple pics of my 50 Chevy.

It has the usual, chopped, shaved, frenched plus it sports 50 Ford tail lights and a grill made up of 54 and 57 Chevy parts. i have big plans for her in the near future including new paint with a killer flame job plus an interior redo with leopard print accents. I'm from Charlotte Michigan and i run "Killer Kustoms" (a rod shop) out of my home garage.
   keep up the killer site.

From Pete McVannel

Here is my '23 Ford t-modified (I hate the term T-bucket, as they weren't called that in the era I'm going for.)
Gotta '49 Merc Flattie, 5-speed, '35 Ford truck front and rear axles (freebies) with early juice brakes, Model A grilleshell and headlights, and a whole lotta fab'd parts by myself and Brian Wallace.  It will be drivable for the 50 mile trek to the Woodward Dreamcruise mid-August this year.   Great website, I visit often.
Thanks,
Pete McVannel

From Rainer Auersperg:

Hi Mart
She's my other vehicle.
Hep regards Rainer (Hep Demons)

From Steve DeMaagd:

Hi Mart     What a great web site you have! I could not resist going through
some of my pics and find a few to send  your way. If you would like to post
one on your cool web site I would be pleased.. I have had the old real  hot
rod sickness for many years and your site helps scratch that itch in my
warped hot rod mind. Thanks much  and happy roddin
Steve.
Then from a later note:
Hello Mart      I seem to have this problem of not staying with one project
at a time. My current focus is the 32 roadster.......hopefully drive this
summer. Its an old rod that was channelled and had the trunk hole welded
shut! Boy was that a bugger to open back up. I am sending you a pic of my
red coupe in a shot where I am having some fun......

Another old rod I got on
the road early last summer. I would like to say again what a great web site
you have and I will go there often to get my hot rod fix. Best regards
Steve
