From Bob Gladston:
Hi I'm also building an A coupe. But for now you will have to
look at this one, do you recognise the car ?
Mart, I was very disapointed that you did not put the picture
of my London taxi made into a truck ( TRUXI ) on the site, surely it is
the epitomy of a hot rod as you take someone elses crap and make it better
( like what ford did to the KA ).
Anyway here is a picture of my A coupe.
All the best Bob
O ye of little faith...Mart.
From Ian Ellis:

From Perry Kratchmer:
Perry sent me an interesting tale of the discovery of this old
coupe. Here are just a couple of teasers from the note.
From Dick J:
Sorry to hear about the axle. I have a friend in England
who has a 1956 Mercury and I sympathize with him when he needs parts.
On occassion, I get them for him here, but the shipping cost is unreal.
BTW, here's a pic of one of my projects. It's a (sort of) 1923 Dodge.
Although pictured here with a flathead, it now has a 241 Dodge hemi for
power. You'll notice that there are no credit card purchased billet parts
on my car either. Plans are to race it at Bonneville if I finish
it before I get too old and die.

From Ronnie Roadster:
Hi Mart upon looking over the Charleston drags photos from the
Steve Gould I came across the photo of the cam Carriers drag altered. its
the one with the "T" body flathead powered with the long zoomies. The photo
of the engine shows the number on the scoop C/A 888. This car has been
restored and is presently at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in Penn.
USA. I have owned it since 1984 and did the complete restoration on it
in 1985. This drag car was shown at the Antique Automobile club of America
national fall meet in Hershey Penn it was certified as a documented original
race car. This was the first drag car the AACA allowed onto the sacred
antiquers grounds. Due to my efforts with showing this car against a lot
of resistance we were able to finally open the door for other drag cars
to follow. To name a few the Ray Brown roadster owned at the time by Kirk
White then the Tony Nancy 22 Junior model A roadster owned by Dan Lacrox
and also the Connie Colita gas dragster owned by Joe Gertliman. Its great
to see those shots I hope to send a few photos to you when I get some original
photos scanned heres a photo of my Deuce roadster. Its powered by a blown
Ardun conversion on a Ford flathead block. My wife and I have owned this
car since 1972. Its been threw many changes during this time. I have raced
it driven it half way across the USA and continue to enjoy driving it as
often as the weather permits. Hope I didn't bore you with all this. Ronnieroadster
Not at all, thanks, Ron....Mart.

who knows? Maybe forever ! Great site here
